AAO 2025 Annual Meeting Recap

Digital Diagnostics is honored to have contributed to the impactful conversations at the 2025 AAO Annual Meeting

Living up to its “Imagine” theme, the AAO 2025 Annual Meeting brought together more than 15,000 attendees for three days of cutting-edge education, innovation, and networking.

The Digital Diagnostics team participated in this year’s event in several ways, including exhibiting, giving attendees the opportunity to:

  • See live demonstrations of LumineticsCore®, our AI-powered solution for diabetic retinopathy diagnosis at the point-of-care
  • Explore how point-of-care eye exams can expand access to diabetes-related eye care
  • Review real-world results from health systems already using LumineticsCore

During a Coffee and Community event held at the Digital Diagnostics booth, our team—including expert scientists, physicians, and engineers—connected with attendees to discuss how AI is streamlining patient care and enabling physicians to practice at the top of their license.

Over the course of the three-day event, attendees had access to more than 500 sessions, including two featuring Digital Diagnostics’ Founder and Executive Chairman, Michael D. Abramoff, MD, PhD. The session How Artificial Intelligence Influences You and Your Patient, in which Dr. Abramoff served as a panelist, was later highlighted in a Managed Healthcare Executive article exploring the evolving role of AI in eye care.

Digital Diagnostics’ presence extended beyond our booth and sessions featuring Dr. Abramoff. LumineticsCore was mentioned in several sessions throughout the conference, including in a presentation by Dr. Lama Al-Aswad from Penn Medicine, who discussed implementing LumineticsCore in clinical practice. Additional sessions highlighted LumineticsCore as a solution for testing and diagnosing diabetic retinopathy and as a driver of innovation in healthcare AI.

As a company committed to advancing accessible, high-quality diagnostics, we’re grateful for the opportunity to participate in the AAO Annual Meeting and contribute to discussions shaping the future of diabetes-related eye care. We look forward to continuing to collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and innovators driving progress in patient care.
