A Medically Driven Approach to Healthcare Automation
Digital Diagnositics’ Research and Development process involves deep collaboration with physicians to develop unique solutions based on:
Foundational Medical Knowledge
Standards of Care in Medicine
Our Approach
Digital Diagnostics starts by identifying high impact diseases with established medical practice patterns. We study how the standard of care has developed over time, and work with the clinicians and scientists who developed these standards to understand their work.
Our Knowledge
This rich understanding of pathology helps our own team of physicians and technologists judiciously choose data we use in developing and validating our deep learning algorithms.
Ongoing Research
Digital Diagnostics AI research is exploring the reach of dermatological care beyond the exam room, from skin cancer to inflammatory disease. We are developing dermatology products that could capture nearly all skin concerns in a standardized way, including:
- Acne vulgaris
- Alopecia
- Cutaneous infections
- Cysts
- Eczema
- Folliculitis
- Nevi (moles)
- Psoriasis
- Rosacea
- Seborrheic keratosis (age spots)
- Skin cancers
- Melanoma
- Basal Cell Carcinoma
- Squamous Cell Carcinoma
- Skin tags
- Vascular lesions
- Vitiligo
- Warts
These dermatology products could be used to take standardized images of patients’ skin concerns and leverage remote triage or artificial intelligence (AI) as an alternative to a traditional referral for patients with skin concerns. These products would be developed in collaboration with primary care physicians and dermatologists.
